Rochester Raging Grannies work for peace, and for social and economic justice through song and humor. We write our own satirical lyrics to old familiar tunes and perform whenever and wherever our message needs to be heard -- whether we're invited or not.
Rochester's gaggle of Raging Grannies was founded in the fall of 2002 as part of an international network of Grannies who first appeared in Victoria, British Columbia, in the winter of 1986-1987. Currently, there are more than 100 gaggles of Raging Grannies throughout the world.

Membership in Rochester's Raging Grannies is open to any woman of a certain age who brings with her a sense of outrage, a sense of humor, and a commitment to non-violence. If you've ever heard us rage, you know that a good singing voice is not required.
